Events that are free (no sales), public, non-partisan and specific to the ANC 6A area may be listed on this calendar.

If, on a day for which an ANC meeting is scheduled, the District government declares a weather or safety emergency and closes normal government operations, the ANC meeting shall be postponed until a date set by the Chair after consultation with the Commission.

October 2019

Community Litter Cleanup

1st Saturday, October 5, 9:00 am; Trusty’s and Atlas Vets have 10:00 am cleanup starts. Volunteer bag and glove pick-up locations include Fulcrum Properties – 1328 G St. SE; Trusty’s – 1420 Pennsylvania Ave. SE; 7-11 – 1501 Independence Ave. SE; Atlas Vet – 1326 H St. NE; Chik-fil-A – 1401 Maryland Ave. SE (offering free breakfast sandwich to volunteers); and Wine & Butter Cafe, 1023 E.Capitol St. Volunteers return filled bags to any of these sponsors.  At 10:00 am, Fulcrum Properties offers mimosas, coffee and donuts to volunteers.
