If, on a day for which an ANC meeting is scheduled, the District government declares a weather or safety emergency and closes normal government operations, the ANC meeting shall be postponed until a date set by the Chair after consultation with the Commission.

February 2020

Community Litter Cleanup

1st Saturday, February 1, 9:00 am; Trusty’s and Atlas Vets have 10:00 am cleanup starts. Volunteer bag and glove pick-up locations include Fulcrum Properties – 1328 G St. SE; Trusty’s – 1420 Pennsylvania Ave. SE; 7-11 – 1501 Independence Ave. SE; Atlas Vet – 1326 H St. NE; Chik-fil-A – 1401 Maryland Ave. SE (offering free breakfast sandwich to volunteers); and Wine & Butter Cafe, 1023 E.Capitol St. Volunteers return filled bags to any of these sponsors.  At 10:00 am, Fulcrum Properties offers mimosas, coffee and donuts to volunteers. Benning Road Reconstruction and Streetcar Project Open House #2

Thursday, February 20,  6:30 – 8:00 pm, River Terrace Education Campus, 405 Anacostia Ave NE

As part of the ongoing Benning Road and Bridges Transportation Improvements Environmental Assessment (EA), DDOT has initiated this preliminary design project to advance the development of EA Build Alternative 2.   At the open house, DDOT staff will provide an update on the project, present the DC-295 and Benning Road interchange preferred options, and receive public input.  For more information,   visit the updated project website at http://www.BenningProject.com.  All are welcome.
